Workers Compensation Settlement/ Benefits

As part of your workers compensation settlement, you may be entitled to one or more of the following workers compensation benefits: (Please contact our office for more information about each category.)

  • Cash Benefits

  • If you have been hurt on the job or become ill as a direct result of your occupation, you may qualify to receive cash benefits based on your average weekly wage for the previous year. Depending on your case, our New York workers compensation lawyers can provide legal help for injured workers and maximize your compensation.

  • Supplemental Benefits

  • Certain claimants determined to be affected by rising costs may qualify to receive supplemental benefits. This group may include people who have been permanently disabled as the result of an injury at the workplace and widows or widowers entitled to death benefits as a result of the death of their spouse. It is important to speak to an experienced workers compensation attorney in New York to help identify your options.

  • Medical Benefits

  • In addition to cash benefits, an injured or ill employee will receive medical attention directly related to the on-the-job accident or illness. However there are exceptions and a great deal of information related to this part of the compensation. Please speak to a New York workers compensation lawyer.

  • Social Security Benefits

  • You may be entitled to the payment of money and social security benefits if you have become seriously disabled, either permanently or for a period of more than 1 year, as a result of a physical or mental injury on the job.

  • Death Benefits

  • The surviving spouse and/or minor children of a worker who dies from an injury on the job can be entitled to weekly cash benefits.
