Jessica Braunstein holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany. Following in her father’s footsteps, Ms. Braunstein is a high-honors graduate of New York Law School, earning her Juris Doctor degree, also cum laude, in 2015.
During her tenure at New York Law School, Ms. Braunstein thrived as a Junior Staff Editor for the New York Law School Law Review, the President of the American Constitution Society, the Secretary of the Federalist Society, and a Mentor with the Street Law Program. She remained active in the Workers’ Compensation community, as well. For example, Ms. Braunstein coordinated with other attorneys, lobbyists, and activists across the Nation in a results-driven effort to lobby against workers’ compensation “opt-out” legislation – laws which allow employers to choose to not maintain a Workers’ Compensation policy.
Before joining the Law Offices of Lee S. Braunstein, Ms. Braunstein gained intensive litigation experience. As a civil prosecutor for the New York City Department of Buildings, she represented the City daily in fast-paced legal proceedings, enforcing rules and laws aimed at protecting the safety and well-being of millions of City-dwellers.
Ms. Braunstein is admitted to the bar of the State of New York. She has also been admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern District and Southern District. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, Queens County Bar Association, and the Injured Workers’ Bar Association.
